manual for all products should be written in big, bold letters while the customer care numbers should be as vague as possible. agents or store dealers should emphasize the importance of reading the manuals before even using the product.

Microsoft should be required to give free phone support for their products. Why should Dell (or any other hardware vendor) be stuck with support issues that are really Microsoft's and not their own!

You COMPUTER never gets a Virus. WINDOWS does!

Dell manufactured your COMPUTER. Microsoft is responsible for WINDOWS.

But the user will hassle DELL about the computer not working when they should be getting assistance from Microsoft!

Being in a customer service is not easy. You get to interact with customers like this person who doesn’t know how to talk properly and who is going on yelling at that poor thing. What most of us don’t get it just yelling without giving them the exact reason for your call or problem they may not be able to help you out. I sometimes pity the customer service people.

I pity those customer service representatives and call center agents for all the hurtful words and crap treatment that they get from customers. Just because a customer bought a product from the company that you work for or the account that you handle doesn't give them the license to treat you like dirt. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and unless if the rep or call center agent is so stupid or arrogant, they should not be yelled at.

That is true. I used to work in a customer service and most of the time customers tend to shout at you and tell you words that are really humiliating. But to think that you cannot do anything even just to justify yourself, that is really stressful. But I think those who works in customer service via phone, you have the right to defend yourself at all cost. Good day.
