I bet we meet angry people half the time we interact

I am interested in getting a job in the Customer Service section of a certain homegrown company and eventually settle in its Human Resource sector. Part of the reason I want to do this is in order to know how to relate with people of all kinds. However, one major headache for me is how to deal with angry customers. How do I go about the whole issue if I am to succeed in my job place because as much as I have got excellent communication and interpersonal skills, I seldom get patient with people with slow temper.

I did a short stint in a call center and one of the things I learned when you're dealing with irate customers is to keep your cool. Remember that you should not take the things that they are saying personally. Stay professional.
