Turn angry customers into happy customers

Thank author of this post/commentWhat do angry customers do? They blog, they also email their friends and that as well all know can hurt any companies reputation. With Verist Labs, companies can offer their customers a channel for them to vent their frustrations. This creates an opportunity for the companies to transform angry customers into happy customers = good for business :)

I think it runs deeper than that.

If a customer has a problem and customer service (actually) resolves it. The customer should be happy? Or at least no longer angry? But how often do they keep pushing, keep expressing their anger?

I'm not talking about when customer service gives a dipshit answer, but when they actually resolve something... like sending out a replacement order and tracking number for the package.

How do we turn angry customers into happy customers? As an ex customer service agent, it was really difficult to pacify customers who are extremely angry. One thing though, you just have to be very confident that you know your craft. One thing that I learned was that, angry clients are like monsters. When they see you afraid and scared, they would always love scaring you to death. And we also have to understand customers agitation.
