| Yahoo! Answers: How to can I make friends at work? I just started working in a call center it's not very big so everyone pretty much knows everybody. My problem is being social I don't talk too much, even though your not suppose to, you can since it gets pretty boring. I would like to make friends since I feel pretty lonely sometimes and I am in need of new friends I would like to get some ideas or some pointers to be able to make good friends and to make time pass faster at work. |

You can make friends by joining the others during lunch break. That's really how officemates bond, eating together. Just ask one of the guys if you can join for lunch. |
| I agree that trying to make friends while having lunch break or a snack can be good. Though I know the scary feeling of walking in a room full of eating people and just inviting yourself to sitting down next to one or two of them. Maybe a little casual conversation in the food line will help lead to an invitation to eat together. Maybe that will help for starters. |
