Because whoever you are doing customer service for upset the customer, and don't offer you the tools to properly resolve the issue so they are frustrated and your their only contact with the company!

As a customer service representative your really have to prepare yourself in dealing with upset customers and those who feel aggravated. Actually those customers aren't personally angry at you not unless you become rude toward them as well. They are just upset because of the service. Hence, as part of your job, try to do your best to help them with their concern. In the end, they will be grateful if the issue is resolved.

Hi there!

I agree Marynor. As you accepted that Customer Service job you have to understand that you will be dealing with irate and frustrated customers, that is why customer service reps are encouraged and trained on how to pacify these people. We should understand where they are coming from and at least provide solution to their problem.

Just try to put yourself in their place for you to understand their side and not to get angry with them directly. Think of the possible reasons why they shout/react like that and you will start to gain patient and accepts the nature of what you are doing. We can't avoid this to happen again. You are the one to learn in adjusting your self and placing it in them and surely in the long run you can be an expert in dealing customers. Kindly consider acceptance, patient and try to remain calm over the phone. Be tricky to wipe their worries and handle them smoothly.

Call center jobs are now popular to Asian countries. Many tells that the only problem they encounter is on the night shift jobs they have. well, salary they get would tell how much scarifies they had just to make their jobs worth. I want as well to engage my self in this kind of things, but I have problem regarding the office time they offer to their workers.
