I find myself constantly surprised when I experience great customer service (it shouldnt be that rare) . And also just as surprised that more business dont place a higher value on satisfying their customers through exceptional service.

"Backdoor Customer Service"
I find calling (or emailing) the customer service contact usually gets one no where... ie: more frustration.I find that using "backdoor customer service", ie: finding the name and email (or fax) of the CEO and sending a letter results in excellent customer service. By going through the back door, the company finds someone that is capable of resolving the problem. It is stupid the companies don't offer the same level of service for those contacting customer service through the front door!
