I recently got fired from work after 1 week of training as a customer service agent in a call centre, the reason they fired me was because I had a criminal record which was for affray, is there anything I could do about this as my record was for a violent offence and would make no difference in the position I wouldve had working within the call centre, and my offence was in 2005. thanks in advance!

Can you imagine the paranoia the management of a call center has to think that convicted criminals would have access to the personal information of their client's customers?Sure, maybe your crime was violent and not "information" related, but it would be a PR headache for the public to learn that "criminals" were doing customer service, ie: getting customers names/addresses, credit card numbers, and maybe even social security numbers. How would you resolve to address that perceptual issue? • Page 1 (Original Post) •
