Issues with call centers are very much important to consider because call centers are appropriate for many a service.

"An Excuse"

Maybe call centers (especially outsourced call centers) are just an excuse to offer poor customer service and then blame it on some foreigners... and not put the blame where it belongs... in the boardroom.

"re: "An Excuse""

No, not really. There are call centers that also offer premium quality service to customers. But as one poster said in one of the discussions here, a lot of call centers focus more on stats like the calls they get, and agents concentrate on putting down one call so they can move on to receiving the next one.

"Never!"

I've never experienced that!

But these days I go around the call centers and find an email for the CEO's office and let that office find someone to help me.

Comcast seems to be a company that encourages such "backdoor customer service." It seems they should just give their regular customer service so people don't have to go looking for someone who can actually help them.

Otherwise, it will be that their "backdoor customer service" will end up being their customer service, and their call centers will just be screaming grounds (for their customers too stupid to find a back door and the employees)! @comcastcares ! hahahaha
